Independent row field notes

LitBuy Spreadsheet Five-Field Row Notes

Turn one saved row into a five-field note that another reader can retrace without guessing.

Platform listings change; these notes record what was observed and when, not what a page currently shows.

Resource workflow Field Notes

One row, five fields, one reusable note

Option text, source URL, price evidence, photo state, and check date turn a copied link into a record that survives a changed listing.

  1. 01
Option text Copy the exact size, color, or batch wording shown on the listing page at the time of the check.
  2. 02
Source URL Keep the final page address after redirects finish, separate from any shortened or shared link.
  3. 03
Price evidence Record the observed amount, currency, and the date it was seen, treated as a dated observation.

Note states

Name the state of each field

Observed

The field was seen on the live page and is recorded with its date.

Missing

The listing did not show this field; the gap stays visible instead of guessed.

Changed

A later check found a different value; both values stay in the note.

Recheck due

The note names the trigger that should reopen it, such as a payment step or a listing notice.

The five fields

What each field preserves

Each field answers one question about the row. When any field stays empty, the note records the gap instead of filling it with an assumption.

  1. Option text Copy the exact size, color, or batch wording shown on the listing page at the time of the check.
  2. Source URL Keep the final page address after redirects finish, separate from any shortened or shared link.
  3. Price evidence Record the observed amount, currency, and the date it was seen, treated as a dated observation.
  4. Photo state Note which views the listing showed and which views were missing at check time.
  5. Check date Date every observation so later readers can separate a saved fact from a stale one.

Workflow path

From a copied link to a complete note

The path resolves the source first, copies the exact wording second, and only then records evidence, photo state, and the check date.

  • Resolve
  • Copy
  • Record
  • Flag
  • Date
  • Recheck

No current catalog size, stock level, price, or outcome is asserted.

Quick FAQ

Short answers before you build the note

Why five fields and not more?

Five fields cover identity, source, money, visuals, and time; extra detail belongs in a linked longer note.

What if the listing shows no photos?

Record the photo state as missing with the date; do not borrow images from other listings.

Can the note predict a delivery result?

No. It records observations about a listing, not outcomes that depend on the platform and carrier.

Reusable output

The output is one field notes record

A second reader should be able to retrace the observation, compare the saved fields, and see exactly where the record stops claiming anything.

Option text

Copy the exact size, color, or batch wording shown on the listing page at the time of the check.

Source URL

Keep the final page address after redirects finish, separate from any shortened or shared link.

Price evidence

Record the observed amount, currency, and the date it was seen, treated as a dated observation.

Stop rules

Pause when the record would hide uncertainty

A named gap keeps the row honest; a filled-looking gap borrows confidence the source never provided.

  • The final page does not resolve to the expected item.
  • A required field is missing from the live listing.
  • Two observations disagree and neither is dated.

Start the next field notes from one row

Keep the record small, dated, and tied to one exact source.
